Well I am 50 so I guess I am getting old! But I just purchased a Benchmade Proper and love it! Never in a million years did I ever think I'd buy a slipjoint. All of the knives from my younger days are "tactical" knives with 3.5" - 4" blades. However, over the past year or so I've been leaning towards smaller, lighter knives. Gentleman knives if you will. The Proper is going to have a permanent place in my pocket!

Hmmm
not bad. I was unaware of this knife. Thanks for posting it.
I have been EDCing a Cold Steel Lucky as my main user all this last week using just the plain edge. It's pretty small and a slip joint, S35VN though. Even kind of a similar blade shape though smaller.

It felt good to pick up something larger ( my Endura) though the Case Trapper is one of my all time favorite EDCs bar none. Looks like the Proper is inbetween my Endura and the Trapper or Lucky. About right in other words !

I love the Proper. Hasn’t left my pocket since I got it, it is in my right front pocket every day.

I've been eyeing this blade. How is the back spring tension? This is a major complaint I've heard with the blade.

On a scale of 1-10 (1 being the softest pull) it is about a 5.

I think the spring tension is perfect. Not to tight, not too loose. I wouldn't want it any tighter or looser.
