I finally realized why. The handle, it is long with no taper, palm swells, finger grips, guards, choils etc. and the handle is longer then the blade. The blade is also in a straight line with the handle.
I really like it because it allows me to to assume any grip or position on the handle. I am not fighting the knife, it adapts to how I want to grip it not vice versa.
I would like to see more very simple handles on knives, like a cylinder with a simple gentle symmetrical oval cross section that is 4-5" in length
