I just got my zt 0200 blem from Asm in the post, and I am liking it so far. The handles completely fill my hand, and the weight is surprising. It is so much beefier than my shallot, and I have the urge to stab through a car door... The only thing I don't like is the near nonexistent detent! The action is incredibly smooth, but if I give the knife a bit of a shake it fully opens itself. Anyways, this will hang out in my pocket until I ship it to rival and it comes back looking sexier lol.

Congrats on the new ZT! I love mine, its an awesome knife and has barely left my pocket except for the excessive flipping. If I really, really try, I can open it by shaking but it would never happen under normal circumstances. Can't wait to see it all pimped out.

I think I am getting used to the detent now. The other problem is getting the thing out of my pocket! My new scales won't be quite so grippy, so I won't need a cutout to wave the knife open as the bump works pretty well. Let's take a vote on what color is better, red or orange?

I'd like red! Also you can wave the 0200 with the thumb studs:) assuming you have the knife tip up/right hand carry, just pull the knife out like you would normally but rotate the knife a little so the thumb stud can catch the lip of your pocket.

Orange looks pretty sweet on KAI knives it seems, it also serves a purpose (easier to locate)

Well with a dark stonewash to the hardware, I'm wondering if rival's new red/black combo would better than a orange /black combo... This knife is going to be the sister of nevermore's knife lol.

I wonder how a dark racing green/black combo would look.
I may have to get a scale for my 0550 in the color.

I love seeing "before" pics!!!
I'm going to enjoy the "after" knife even more lol. Will the acid etching make the detent even less than it is now, or do you mask it with nail polish or something? I am getting excited about getting this project decided on tomorrow :D

I think I am really falling in love with this knife. The ergonomics are great, the action is very smooth, and it just feels right. I posted in the ft section to trade a couple of my Kershaws for a 0350OR as I have read it's great deassisted.
