I've had 2 Spydies show up in less than a month, a Delica and a PM2. I just love them. Thank you Mr. Glesser for your wonderful company. The designs just work so well and they fit my hands so perfectly. I'm just so thoroughly impressed by them. I wish I had tried them out 15 or 20 years ago, I've really missed out on some awesome stuff.

Here is the problem, I had planned on getting the Manix 2 next month. In just a few short weeks I've picked up 2 Spydies and promised myself I would wait till next month to get another. Last night on the "big river store" I was ordering a movie and to get free shipping I figured I'd look at what I had saved. I'd forgot about the Tenacious that I'd passed over when I ordered my Delica. I checked to make sure that I was ordering directly from "big river store" (and not some place that nobody had ever heard of) as I had with my Delica to lessen the chance of getting a fake as much as I could and completed my order. I'll be getting my Manix 2 from National next month just as planned, I just couldn't help myself and had to order the Tenacious to put me over the top for free shipping. Shameful isn't it?

I've purchased my Spydies in a strange and non linear way, most go for the least expensive models and work their way up. I've kind of went all over the place. I can't wait to get my grubby paws on it. When I told my Pops what I'd done he just laughed and said he was going to check to see if they had Spyderco Anonymous. I'm going to need Divine help when my Spyderco Catalog finally shows up!

He doesn't know it yet but I'm planning to get him a PM2 next month also. He must have fondled and played with my PM2 for 2 hours the other day and just kept commenting on how much he really liked it. I'm not surprised as we like a lot of the same things. When he likes something that much he just can't help himself. I'm worried that he might get as hooked on Spyderco as I am. After all, I learned this behavior watching him!

I've been bit by the bug, myself. I picked up a Delica a while back, and honestly didn't like it (crazy huh?) so I sold it. Later I purchase an Enuff Leaf and I really liked it, but I ended up selling it when I was downsizing my knife collection because I preferred my Izula II which filled the same niche for me. Fast forward to a couple months ago when I picked up a Manix 2. I fell in love with it instantly and it became very clear why so many people go crazy for Spydercos. After that I bought an s35vn Para 2, which I ended up selling when I had an unexpected expense come up right after I received it, but I'm really wanting to get my hands on another one soon. I picked up a G10 Native 5 a month or so ago and I fell in love with it just like the Manix 2. For ME, the Native 5 is a perfect EDC folder.

I started last month and got bit hard.

P'Kal was first, and the only new knife I planned to buy.

Then a new PM2, Chaparral CF and Native mysteriously showed up in my mailbox.....today a new Gayle Bradley was ordered.

That's five in a month....luckily all cash, we have zero credit cards, thank goodness.

Mastiff, you nailed two of the most popular knives Spyderco produces in the PM2 and the Delica … not surprising you got "bit" by those …

For all those recently bitten, hang on, the slope just gets slipperier … ;)

Dang. Me too just picked up a Ti Military. Got my eyes on the Citadel on the WTS Autos thread.

Mastiff,

I can relate.
Hello, my name is remnar and I have a problem. :D

We're all just a bunch of enablers here.

I can quit anytime I want to! And I don't want to! :)

Have a Yo2 on order. Just got a Cruwear Military and a fluted Ti Military. See why I don't want to quit? :)

I could just imagine trying to start an addiction support group at the local religious institution.

Me: Hello Brother/Father/Priest/Rabbi, I like to start a support group for addiction?

Brother/Father/Priest/Rabbi: You do know that we already have NA and AA right?

Me: Well it's not one of those kind of addictions.

Brother/Father/Priest/Rabbi: My son, it's not a sex addiction is it?

Me: What? That can be an addiction? That sounds like something rich guys made up as an excuse for philandering to their wives? No, that's not it.

Brother/Father/Priest/Rabbi: Then what is it my son?

Me: Spyderco.

Brother/Father/Priest/Rabbi: You've come to right place my son! Thursday nights a 7:00, I'll see you there. I keep falling off of the wagon. This time it was only 4 days. Hey, wanna see my Yojimbo 2 that Fedex just delivered?

You aint alone....last week I got a orange delica and last night I ordered a orange dragonfly. :D
And I think in a day or two....im gonna order me a yellow H1 dragonfly. Its happening again....im ok as long as I dont come in here, but once I do...I start buying knives again! This place is real bad.

Well at least I'm not the only one. Started the new year off with my first PM2. Then 3 days later decided that I needed to retire my first generation Delica as I have worn the serrations almost all the way down. Now 2 weeks later I am holding my self back from running back to the store and getting the Super Blue Delica. That keeps calling my name.

Sorry I missed this earlier.

Believe it or not, I ordered it from an enormous on line retailer. Sounds like a river, or possibly a warrior babe, depending.
