I just found them in one of my books. they are kitchen knives. one of the guys at the police station said he had a set worth 600 bucks and were made out of pure iron. i told him he was full of it.
I have a set of Old Hickory kitchen knives. They are carbon steel. They are excellent knives. And they are very economical. I got the whole set at Smoky Mountain Knifeworks for about $20.

I knew he was full of it, but I wanted it on paper to put him in his place. I printed the stuff off the website and faxed it to him. the guys at the police station where he works said he got that defeated look in his face.... boo hoo. He should know better than trying to b.s. a Bladeforums member.

Hey fellas maybe we're missing something! I would think a set of "pure iron" knives that survived from the iron age may actually be worth more than $600!
