Guy's I'm looking for a couple of decent packs for my 7yr old Twin boys. I don't want to break the bank but I would like it be a solid bag that isn't gonna fall apart. It will be used for our day hikes, fishing, & Camping. Something that isn't gonna be to big & bulky that they won't wanna pack.

Dutch army surplus day pack. About £15 here. Kick it around like a football and nothing bad gonna happen to it.

Coaldigger, be sure to keep in mind if your twins grow anything like my 7 year old did, it only takes about 2 years and he is out of everything. I bought him a Maxpedition Pygmy Falcon-II, and he was able to use it until he wanted to start carrying more "stuff" with him. Good luck with your search, kudos to you as well for getting your youngster's involved in the outdoors . . .
Be safe.

My kids (7 & 9) have been carrying the Camelbak Mini Mule packs for the past two years.

They're big enough to carry some snacks and water plus a jacket and small survival kit but not big enough to really overload making them too heavy for little bodies.

The mini mule is great

There are a bunch of small Camelbak knock-off packs out there that would work great...

I used a couple a few years ago when the kids were just getting started. Big enough to carry water, some basic essentials and trail snacks. The water bladders are great as the kids love to drink from them and it keeps them hydrated on the go. As mentioned, if the bag is too big, it will often get left behind. Mine were pretty small, even when my son and daughter were younger, but they could wear them around all day.

There are still great even though the kids now have larger packs for actual backpacking trips. They still get used for day hikes and bike riding.
