Hello all!

I need some scales for a chef's knife I'm making. It is for a customer (hehe... I like saying that! This si my first commission!). I used some stabilized maple burl on a similar knife and the customer went WOW

So, I'd like some stabilized wood so that it can survive washings and such. But I also want it to look wowy, wowish, wowitudinal, etc. But it doesn't have to be a rare piece found atop Mt. Everest on a climb that killed 25 members of an expedition!

Anybody have something I can buy? It needs to be 5" in length (4.5" BARE minimum, that is if I don't screw up at all.) and the handle is about 1" wide.

Thanks!

Thanks guys for the info!

Yo Eric, I saw the pics of your E2e holsters on the Strategos forum. Nice work man... nothing bulky, nice and simple and clean work! As usual, you da man, EH!

Karl,

Does your phone number still end with 3293? If yes I'll call you Thursday night. If not call me. I have some material you might be interested in.

Thanks to all, Ihave found what I needed.

Special thanks goes to samhell, for sending me what I needed!

Yo Chuck! I was going to e-mail you until I talked to samhell. I may have some special projects on the go this christmas that will require handle materials from your supplies. You da man for special stuff!

Crayola, Chuck Bybee should have what you need. Plus, he's a great guy to deal with. In the spirit of diversity of sources, here's a couple of alternatives:
- WSSI whose full name is so big it has its own zip code
- Gallery Hardwoods
