I have had a couple HOGs do much for me, so I usually hesitate to ask favors. I have been in a bitter internal battle over the CG FBM for as long as it's been out. To be honest, I have always loved everything about the way it looks. The grooves, the Fusion handle (especially in Black G10?), the stripped INFI and the way I envision it in my paws while whacking salal, cedar and fir. Since I couldn't ever afford one, I simply denounced it as unnecessary and tried to move on.

So, to get to the point, has anyone been doing any passarounds on one of these? I have done a search to no avail. If you are inclined to let a HOGlet punish one a few days, I would be much obliged. I would of course pay for shipping and insurance as well. Until then, some pics of your favorite CG FBM would tide me over a bit.

BTW, feel free to ask some of the folks around here about my rep. I don't think you will find any problems with my trustworthiness or abilities with a blade (other than funding them:o).

I have only one genuine CGFBM left, and it has an Urban Gray blade and Magnum Black/Blue G-10 handles. The rest of my FBMs are several FFs, a 2007 SE, an LE, and a pair of NM LEs.

Sorry, my beater CG FBM has blk/tan G10, not black, so you wouldn't want it...:D

i'm really impressed by the generosity of resinguy and jaxx......

impressed, but not surprised......i've come to expect this type of goodwill from the hogs of the busse forum......

this is why the busse forum and all its regulars comprise the best subforum on bf.com....


that being said, does anyone have a minty 1/300 SHBM they can lend me for a couple years???? lol.....j/k :p

actually, one of the positive features of a coated blade is its ability to resist fingerprints......unless your fingers happen to be covered with blood, paint, lacquer, etc...

Seriously, though, to cosign what New said, a couple weeks ago I had an older piglet offer to send me an SHBA to fondle just so I could see if I might want to own one one day. What an offer!

I refused because I didn't want to be responsible for 1000$ of someone else's classic INFI, but k was blown away. The hog--who shall remain nameless--was a real gentleman, and if there's ever anything I can do for another, I'll keep his generosity in mind.

Wow! I am surrounded by Awesome folks. Thanks for all the offers.

We just got a surprise 4"-6" of snow here in the last couple hours and were trapped at the in-laws. We just made it home and I will start beggin' off the offers as soon as I clear the house of the snow. What a freaky Winter!
