Ron, everyone who frequents this forum knows the vehemence of Busse fans, and I am one of them. We all like knives, have a preference for the built like a brick outhouse variety. That said, most of the denizens of this forum have amassed collections of Busses from Assault Shakers to Battle Mistresses. Many of us can speak of our Busse collections in terms of pounds of INFI owned.
Your voice asking for the folder is another voice in the choir here chanting "folder...folder...folder!!!"
That said, until we see the folder from Wauseon, we will have to contend ourselves with those of the non INFI variety.
I have to agree with the Sebenza fans out there. It is simplicity in a folder, a no frills use the sh*t out of it everyday knife. The framelock mechanism on it clicks in place with the authority of chambering a 12 gauge pump. I have every confidence in mine.
Its a great knife, its owners will attest to its utility. Both the large and small models carry in the pocket very well.
I would be seriously withholding if I did not comment on the Strider AR/GBs. Those Strider guys make a very serious knife also. Like Jerry's knives, they are overbuilt to withstand the use and abuse that their makers and owners put them through. Each maker has its fans and zealots. I think that there is room at the inn for all of them. The one big difference is that as of now, July 2002, Strider has a folder and Busse does not. I have a Strider AR, it is one kick butt folder, another proverbial brick outhouse. If Jerry never made a folder, this would be the folder that Busse fans bought. I have nothing but good things to say about it. It is however a stretch to call the AR a pocketknife. Yes, it fits in your pocket, but not much else will fit in there, and you better have a belt on to hold up your britches.
I like folders, I love Busses. When Jerry releases his I will buy two of them. Until that day, there will be a Sebenza or an AR in my pocket. ...........and a Mean Street in my bag.......and a Battle Mistress under my truck seat).
