I need a jacket

Yes it's that time of year again. It's pretty cold- even by my blood-thinner and fat induced warmth. I need an outer layer, something to keep the heat in.
1. This jacket need not be at the cutting edge of fashion, but I don't want to be wearing a Gore-Tex rain parka at the same time, either. If it would look good with a rugby or polo shirt and jeans, its fine.
2. No North Face.
3. No cordouroy or suede, or any material that picks up and clings to dirt and dust very well. Cotton, wool, canvas, poly, leather- those type of clean-staying materials.
4. Fully open front is a definant plus, though not a necessity. Not really any preference between buttons and zippers, although buttons are preferable if the jacket is cotton.
5. Not full white color- or pink, or any other ridiculous, flamboyant, stand out in the crowd color.
6. More pockets=happier Preston. Needs, abssolutely needs, pockets near the bottom, where you can stuff your hands.
7. Not to warm- but not just a fashion accesory. I need this jacket to be warm (and preferably cozy [am I gay for saying that]) but not hot, so I don't want to wear it.
8. Not heavy. This rules out most leather jackets- they sit on my shoulders like a load of bricks.
9. Inexpensive is better, but not at the price of quality.
10. Being able to quickly see my watch would be nice- no buckles, seals, etc to get through.
But here is the catcher- the jacket must be 2XL- T. Yes, I need a big, but more importantly, tall, jacket.

That looks like a great jacket, but I need 2XL-Tall.
Price range- under 100$, but not at the expense of quality or durability.

check out the regular ole lands end jackets. hardshell with fleece inside. not as pricey as big store brands and they last forever.

Carhartt Detroit. I had two, one for work(L), and one for casual wear(XL), but got acid on the work jacket. The large was a bit tight on me. I'm short, but 46-48 in the chest. The XL(spec'd 46-48, turns out) fits great with room for movement and an underlayer like thick fleece or sweats if necessary.
They look a lot better than the pics suggest, IMO. I especially like the moss color, which my XL is.
2XL and/or 3XL tall sizes.

That's a good looking coat.
Here's the one one I bought. They look similar.

Another vote for Carhart, that's about all I wear in winter both jackets and bibs. They come in a lot of different colors and styles anymore and you've really got to abuse them to wear them out.

Best jacket I've ever owned is Patagonia's Retro-X. Super light, windproof, so it's very versatile. Looks awesome, too.

JC Penny Big & Tall had a couple of nice jackets in it recently. A lambskin leather jacket was 139.00 and a wool bomber type jacket was only 35.

They run in sizes up to 4X

Ps.... Forgot to mention Carhartt does make the chore coat in big/tall sizes. Check the Carhartt site.
