I came across this Northwoods fixed blade and know absolutely zip about Northwoods. I am hoping you fine folks can help me out with a little of your knowledge. It is in great condition as you can tell by the pictures. The sheath is cosmetically a little rough but functionally good and very well made. The pouch on front of it contains a small Arkansas stone. Nine inch overall, four inch blade three and one half inch cutting surface. The tang stamp says (first line) Northweoods Knife Co. (second line) Gladstone, Mich USA with nothing on the other side. Also if anyone knows anything about this send me a message. (NEW MEMBERS :: Please read this :: WHAT IS MY KNIFE WORTH?) Frank and Gary if that's to blatant I'm sorry let me know and I'll erase it.

"Northwoods Knives
The Northwoods Knives brand is synonymous with high-quality, rock-solid, American-made knives. Dave Shirley founded Northwoods over 30 years ago, focusing on recreating designs and patterns that have been favored for generations. And when KnivesShipFree bought the company from Dave, we promised to continue building top-shelf knives -- beautiful tools meant to be used."

From the web site of the current owner of the brand name: https://www.knivesshipfree.com/northwoods-knives/

So that knife was made by Dave Shirley before he sold his business to Derrick Bohn.

Maybe call or e-mail Derrick for more info.

The Gladstone Northwoods knives are somewhat sought after. I recommend going to the big auction site and see what they are selling for.

Looks like a Willow Leaf Hunter to me, but I am far from an expert. Love the handle-to-blade ratio. Randy if you pick that up I'd sure like to hear your impressions of it.

I thought it was a pre Bark River venture from Mike Stewart? The sheath looks like one of theirs.

I may be entirely wrong though. Really like that leaf blade, very pleasing. Good luck with your enquiries.

Thanks, Will

Thanks guy's.
scrteened porch I did buy it and think I'm going to let it go not sure yet. If I do decide I'll put it in production fixed blades on the exchange.
