I finally got started putting together a milling attachment for my lathe and I'm all done except for the vise.
Just thought I'd see if anyone here had a spare one they'd like to let go of. Free is best, cheap is good.
Something around 2 1/2-3" wide by 5-6" long.
I also have a question about mounting the attachment.
So I won't have to remove the tool holder, I was thinking about drilling and tapping some holes in the carriage but then I started wondering if the steel it's made of is tough enough to take bolts being run in and out over and over.
It's a Harbor Freight lathe.
Anyone have any experience with this?
Thanks folks!!
Michael
