I am looking for a new bushcraft knife similar to the spyderco bushcraft. I don't want a mora and I don't want a stick tang knife. I want a robust scandi ground knife similar to the bushcraft without paying $180.00. Is there anything similar to the bushcraft or a woodlore. I don't want to wait on the time it takes to get a custom. Are there any production full tang scandi knives out there.

Check out Blind Horse Knives, I don't work for them I am just a raving fan . They are a little pricey but well worth it. If you're not willing to spend that much, Condor is a good choice.

The new Condor Tavian, Sub-Tavian, and Kephart knives are pretty close to exactly what you've described. You mentioned the Bushlore, which is a proven choice.

Of the above, I think the Kephart is the closest to the Spyderco Bushcraft in style, shape, and use.

Go give Blind Horse Knives a look. I dont know the particular model name in my head but they have what you are looking for.

Helle Fjellbekk, hands down! It is a little pricey though. It is a full stick tang, but for Bushcraft it'll do.

Boker Plus Bushcraft Knife - 102mm*3.7mm blade - 440C Full tang under Micarta....... EKA Nordic A10 Masur - 102mm*4mm blade - 12C27 Extremely close to a full tang under a bit of wood.

Bark River Bravo 1 3V Necker with handles. Comes in around $150, and is a sturdy knife, in a great steel.

That EKA Nordic A10 Masur is good looking. I've been eyeing up thier new W11 Masur.

They really know how to get the best out of that 12C27 stainless steel too.

How about an EnZo Trapper, you could buy a kit to save cost. Simply glue and screw.

Look at some of the condor knives line they have a couple of scandi grind for cheap made out of good steel with good heattreat. http://www.baryonyxknife.com/campknives1.html

You rang? :D

I actually just got some brand-spankin' new production Bushlores (both wood and micarta ones) early last week and they've knocked it out of the park with the quality on them. They seem to have finally switched from a convex saber grind to a true scandi with microbevel. And they have the best grinds I've seen out of 'em yet.

I rather liked the way the old EKA Nordic W11 worked and as a rule those kinds of knives don't appeal to me much................ I'd like to see some performance comparisons between that Boker and the apparently excellent Spyderco. I don't doubt the Spyderco is more pretty and all that but with the Boker costing 40 odd quid so what. I'm sure it's well made. But that edge does look very stubby like a Wright's, and so embraces most of what I detest about the Scandi format......................An Enzo is a great idea.

He's probably thinking of the Bushcrafter....

If you order directly from BHK you'll have to wait for it to be made. However, you can also order from the-knife-connection as they have BHK in stock. Can be had in scandi grind for under $150.

There's also the BHK Woodcrafter, which was made for (and sold by) The Canteen Shop. Same blade, different handle.

They never specifically mentioned them as having a scandi grind though. That was the result of retailers marketing it as such and also Joe commenting that the original intent was for it to be a scandi. However they didn't have the specific grinding machinery to allow them to do that at the time and it's only just now seemingly in place. It can take years to got through the whole process of commissioning equipment like that and getting it installed.

I bet you will like it a lot neeman. I picked this one up here in the f/s section and I really like it. It reminds me of a slightly longer, slightly narrower BHK bushcrafter.
