Hello,

i found my old butterfly while i was tidy up my room.
i played a bit with the butterfly.
after some hours i found this forum and balisongxtreme.com

now i think about buying a new butterfly cause my old one is "made by Rostfrei"

The "BENCHMADE MODEL 42" seems to be nice but it´s way to expensive!

yah you can get one of those bears or a Jag. i think Chung San has both. A BM would be a good investment though.

Did someone own a knife of Herbertz??
Here´s a pic of their knifes:

I have a Herbertz, it's the middle one in this picture:

The one I have is very unalligned, and pretty loose, but I haven't re-pinned it yet.
I wouldn't mind getting another one, but I haven't seen many around the USA.
It says simply "Butterfly Knife" on the blade, and "C. JUL. HERBERTZ ROSTFREI 440 Nr. 1613" on the tang.

It seems to me to be identical to Jaguars, except the blade shape, and the tang pin on the Herbertz is larger in diameter.

Hello

Today i was in my favorite "Army Shop"
They had a nice butterfly of Herbertz.
It´s not like the one of blade_420.

I´ll buy it on monday or thuesday (man, it sucks when you´re broke)

I think it´s that knife! i am not 100% sure

It has stainless pins and not brass pins.

It´s only 20$ so i think it´s worth a try.

I also asked em about benchmade.
He had some benchmades but no butterflys.

I have a Herbertz balisong too, with plastic inserts. As I have small hands and started with a light Rostfrei and bought a BM42 after that, I find the Herbertz too heavy and chunky.
Melvin, if you want to order some balisongs online in Germany, try http://toolshop.de/knives/index.html that's where I ordered my BM42 and BM42A, and I even got a small pack of gummybears in the box they were shipped in

I would like to get a BM42!
but 20$ compared to 200$ is a big difference!

Another ebay find that they let through because the blade is only 2".
It's a cheapie, though.
Marked "Made in Germany" on the tang, brass liners, folded like FHM's, with steel on the outside.
I think that the "cracked ice" is actually a sticker or something similar over steel.

It doesn't flip really well, too light. The fish scaler spine kinda hits your knuckles wierd, too.
