I want to get a Barlow knife so I have something to pick my teeth with. Any suggestions? Anything under $30, I ain't made of money. If you have a suggestion for a more pricey knife I'd very much like to hear it though. I might buy it in a couple of years when I'm able to.

How about a 1000 of these for ~6$:

I wouldn't pick my teeth with a knife. If you have to, get a SAK with a Toothpick.

If a Barlow is what you want, and you don't have a lot of cash, look at Rough Rider. I haven't heard much bad about them.

Beat me to it!
RR is definitely the low price leader but still sell a decent product.
You are not gong to get a super steel, or the F&F of WE or CRK.
But pretty much any other producer at or below their price is selling you garbage. And there are some that charge more - sometime a lot more - who still can't beat their quality.

I've picked my teeth with many a knife, and I've come to the conclusion that a traditional Japanese Tanto blade shape using Spectrumwear, Mammoth Ivory scaled with AXIS lock is the best choice. Anything else just doesn't cut it.

Put one of these in your pocket or on your keys if that's you are thing.

No knife is going to make a great of substitute for a real toothpick.

Fool. Like a manual toothbrush can only get your mouth so clean and one needs an electric toothbrush to really please your dentist;

Just a knife is amateur hour when it comes to your tooth pickin’ needs.

Using a chainsaw is the only way to get a purdy mouth .

It appears that I was somewhat misunderstood. The word toothpick is an old term for a pocket knife. I pick my teeth with my pocket knives anyway, so having a Barlow wasn't going to change anything, just a small edition to my collection. Next time I will be more clear in my question asking.

How about an Imperial or old Timer Barlow?
I've heard good things about these.

A toothpick is a specific pattern such as pictured in post #4.

As mentioned, I would look at the Rough Rider line of slip joints. They would be my first choice for "inexpensive", but good. Been a while since I looked at them, so I don't know if they have a barlow pattern, but they certainly have a wide selection of patterns. It would have to be an absolute emergency for me to attempt to pick my teeth with a pocket knife. I generally have a SAK on me which has a toothpick if I need such.

I doubt you will find an Imperial Barlow in very good condition for $30. They have become pretty collectible. Not aware of a Schrade Old Timer barlow.

We're just joking with ya. Not too often do people ask for a knife to pick their teeth with, haha.

Now I can't speak for Imperial, never owned one, and with Old Timers the ones I've had have all been of good quality. They're older, though and none were a Barlow. If you really want a Barlow check out Boker, specifically the 493. It's pretty well priced and I've had decent luck with Bokers in the past, so it may meet your standards.

Here's a link to an example - https://www.bladehq.com/item--Boker-Plus-Barlow-Knife-2-Brown--32068

The current stuff is Okay, but if you're looking to go budget I suggest either going with Rough rider or getting a good condition vintage Barlow on ebay or something.
