I need a rifle case

Well, turns out that my AR15 build is pretty far outside the normal specs, and I'm having a hard time finding a decent case. I need about 46" long and tall enough to fit a scoped AR15. I have a 24" barrel and an extended fixed stock. Under $100 is best, the further the better. Oh, I'm limited to 10rd mags, so no need for super tall or a ton of magazine pouches.

Ideas?

I did have a suggestion, and then I read your length requirement. :p

Yeah, not the typical build, lol! Gun measures 43" exactly, so add an inch for padding and an inch for ease of getting in and out.

Sorry, I couldn't resist.

How about a double shotgun or rifle case? Plano makes one that costs about $75 MSRP. The dimensions are 53-7/8"L x 19"W x 5-5/8"H

If you want a soft case, check Amazon. Even if you don't want to buy from them, they have a good selection for reference.

Condor 159 46" Rifle Case. (The stuff I bought from Condor has been good to me)
$93.47 & FREE Shipping <-- the website that sells this is related to a Forrest and its not knifeworks.

Go to Gander Mountain or Bass Pro or any similar big box retailer and see what they have to choose from. A double rifle case is probably going to work best for your specific setup so, Wal-Mart and similar big box stores are not going to have what you need.

You could also split the upper and lower and use a smaller (less length) case. I find a shorter case is a lot easier to tote around. ;)

Well I found this Field Line Tactical 48" case on sale at wally world for $22. It's got some good reviews and it's about half the price of eBay for the same exact thing!

Gonna give it a shot and if I don't like it I can return it.

Condor are Chinese knockoffs really made and marketed for the airsoft crowd. They uses lighter weight material than the quality stuff. If you do buy a Condor, pay no more than $50 (I'd not pay that much). You can get them for that at every gunshow around here. .

SKB hard case.and good stuff. I own several for airline travel. Use a well padded soft case [Galanti International] for my RR 24" EOP Varmint when I'll be doing all the handling.

I'll put good gun cases, holsters and gun belts in the same category - save money elsewhere.

Best.
