I need a Spyderco. Period. DECIDED!

I'm so sick of "owning" one Spyderco. (It's a Tenacious I got cheap at a flea market. Strange scratches near pivot on blade, half serrated, and used. I don't like used stuff for the most part. It tells someone else's story, not mine. :))
I'm buying one tomorrow off the internet.
My price limit is $100.00.
I'm pretty sure Im gonna get a Manix 2 XL. I really like it from what Im seeing on the internet..
The Tenacious mentioned earlier is the only Spyderco I've ever touched, other than a stainless Dragonfly for about 15 minutes.
Would this be a good choice? A different one maybe?
I'd like some suggestions. I dont really want plastic handles though.
I don't want something with a blade shorter than 3.5 inches.
Oh... I never said what I'm using it for. :D
EDC that will probably end up being used in the woods as well.
Don't worry. I'm not a "baton-er". :D

Hard to go wrong with a Manix of any flavor. I think the Xl would be a great choice. The g10 Manix (along with the P2, Yojimbo and native 5) have pivot bushings which is a plus. Congrats on you new blade whichever one you choose.
 
Yeah, the Manix is a great knife (handled it at a shop, but do not own)--the paramilitary 2 is the one I preferred and I believe it too would suit your needs (though it may be a little more than $100)... either way, you can't go wrong. Congrats on your new knife in advance!
 
A Sage 1 or the already mentioned Para 2 would be great options. Or perhaps an Endura and a Sharpmaker.
 
Manix 2 XL is a great blade, but really really really big. The Endura is a long blade like you want, but much lighter. I have a few Manix models, and would get the normal version first IMO.

If you're planning on woods carry, I wouldn't go with either though! A simple Swiss Army knife, or even a Svord Peasant should take care of your folding needs.
 
First thing I would do is get a Gold Membership..sell your tenacious

Save your pennies and get a Para 2 or GB.

Ding ding ding ding ding we have a winner. The para2 is awesome, but the GB is the way to go. Both are just flat out more reasonable to carry and more useful in an edc role than the XL.
 
Superleaf, they're discontinued but I see a few still around. Hurry! Any of the Manix line is good too. I have both.
 
Well, I decided on a Native 5 after looking around on here and checking out reviews. Thank you all for the responses anyways!

Nice! I've always eyed the N5 but never pulled the trigger. Be sure to let us know how you like it when it arrives.
