My wife wants a knife but she is dissatisfied with all the production folders out there (that she has seen). So i told her to draw what she wanted and i will try to find it for her.............

This is what she came up with. Now i have no (or at least very little) hope of finding this thing. So what i want to know is (1) is it even possible to make? (2) i need help re-specing the thing so it is feasible (3) I need prices and what i need to do to get it.

Thank for any help

1. Yes. In fact there are many similar knives in flowing floral patterns. Plus, engravers can do all kinds of art.

2. & 3. can't be easily answered unless I (we) hear a budget.

From the above, I will tell you she would probably love the works of Harumi Hirayama. Expect to pay upwards of $3000.

To my eye that piece has Bailey Bradshaw written all over it.
I agree with Coop, about $3000+ to pull it off.

those are awesome knives, however way out of my price range. i probably cant break the $200 mark. Anybody know of something more that side of the line?

^^^ At that price point I think you're definitley looking at a production knife rather than a custom for something that elaborate-looking. You could possibly find a simple custom slipjoint close to that price, but that's not at all like what she has in mind. And I don't know enough about production knives to make a recommendation there. Perhaps try the general discussion forum:

Best of luck. It's cool that your lady knows what she wants in a knife.
