I Need Answers to Rumors...

Some of the nicest knives in my collection are my Microtech Tantos. However, one of my friends showed me a 'blow out' sale where almost 100 bucks has been knocked off of a SOCOM Tanto M/A. Less than 2 months ago, I was told that they were difficult to get and were being phased out. I've also heard several rumors about Microtech. Does anyone know the TRUTH about what's going on, and NOT just conjecture?--OKG

I hate to answer my own questions, but I heard from a dealer yesterday who stated that Microtech released a lot of inventory to prepare for a move to their new location. I'm still a bit 'cheesed,' but coming from Wisconsin, no one will notice...--OKG

You can tell what's trendy by the buzz it creates on the forums. It might be good advice to avoid anything with a lot of buzz until it has past, and you start seeing that model in the forsale group.

The other good thing is then you can decide whether you want a user or a like new, and benefit from the reviews coming from the "First Adopters".

The Microtech M/A SOCOM is being dumped by most distributors who have them left. Reason is that when the SOCOM Elite came out, the current inventory value went down. If the SOCOM Elite was not so much more knife, the problem would not have been as bad.

The SOCOMs were already in distribution and NOT recent releases from Microtech. So the distributors are effectively moving dead inventory.

As for the other rumors, with out knowing what they are I can not comment. Also if they involve me, WOW or 1SKS I would appreciate it if they stay off the forum. Thanks
