Howdy folks.
I got a problem with my feet getting too hot and mind ya it's in the middle of winter , summer kills my feet.
I am looking for suggestions as to some cool shoes that dont cost too much.
Preferably on the high end casual style :D

Thanks in advance.

Todd

Crocs are the "rage" as far as I can tell. Butt ugly, but I tried on a pair and they were incredibly comfortable. I'm going to buy a pair when spring comes.

About 30 bucks.

Otherwise, something like Tevas.

The H2's are a nice shoe/sandal hybrid that are comfortale as well as tough to anything you can dish out. I fyou are looking for strictly a shoe then the Bronx in leather or leather/nylon and the Brooklyns are both great choices. I had always had a problem with my feet until I started wearing only Keen shoes and sandals.

Second on the Keens. I have a pair of the Boulders and can wear them into the water and then right onto the trail. Great, tough shoes.

Chuck taylors have vents in them, and they are a design thats been around forever.

I recoomend Merrell's!! They are the most comfy shoe I have ever worn. I don't even wear sneakers anymore (except when working out.), because they are so comfy.

Merrell's, or, if you dont mind being called a poser, Circa's, or DC's. Actually any skate shoe. Very, very, comfy.

I have been wearing Merrell's for years! I don't give a rats ass what anyone thinks!!

I had a pair of Merrell's that I bought for hiking. I wore them for a few weeks before my trip and I was very displeased with them after I had to put them to task for their intended purpose. The stitching was coming undone on the leather uppers and the eyelet rivets popped out in at least 4 places. And forget about their "waterproof" claim. :jerkit: I was not happy with them at all. The only good thing about Merrell is their return policy. The boots would have made good everyday shoe but it was terrible as a hiker.

Damn, that is horrible!! Their shoes are awesome!! I have a pair of boots, but they are in the garage in a box somewhere.

I've worn Merrell hikers for about 4 years and they are extremely comfortable. They started to show some wear and I bought a pair of La Sportiva Exum Ridge, so far they have really killed my feet! They are very highly recommended so I'm sure either my feet or the shoes will break in.

For casual, I wear Merrell Jungle mocs and find them really comfortable but your feet will sweat. Other casual are Chacos, 3 years old and going strong. Keens are on my short list, I live by Zion NP and you see alot of Keens on people.

Next time you're in a shoe store, try on some Etnies. I know they're skate shoes, but they are comfortable and they breath really well. When it's a windy day, I can feel a breeze on my feet occassionally.

Another vote for Keens here. What is comfortable on the feet is so subjective. It can be such a make or break issue though. If you stand up, if you walk, the quality of your shoe support eventually becomes an issue. The last on the Keen Newport H2 [and other models with the same last] made such a difference in my daily upright postural experience, I feel almost evangelistic about it...I mean I feel I should tell others about this wonderful product...is that weird or what? I am sure there are other products out there that would make me as happy. I just happened upon Keens, became a convert and haven't been sorry. My two cents..

I wish you all comfort in your walking experience..

Thanks a ton folks. My feets are so sad in these darn Skechers , or worse yet the work boots that I can no longer wear because of the heat.
Now......... what to try first !!

Rocky brand shoes and boots and are built to suit a need like yours. They have thinsulate ranges and are usually pricy, right now, after Christmas is the best time to buy boots. ( Think SALE) Good foot support and keep your feet from sweating all year around.

try my favorite shoes to date: Puma Sprint's. I have a well worn in, 3 or so year old pair and I feel like I'm not wearing anything. They have vent holes also..

One very airy pair that feels like puma sprints are the Nike One's.
