Thread now closed, person who started it spammed I guess and had all his stuff deleted and now it says I started it. Thread has no purpose anymore.

I've thought about doing that as a just because thing, I've heard decent things about those Cold steel Katana's. I don't know what you have right now so those could either be an up or down grade I don't really know. I'm not a sword guy really.

What's super slim about ken-do/jutsu? They are widely practiced arts ;) lol

I just don't know what a sword would be a good defense for except another sword, it's just the murder weapon in the modern age lol. SD or not

You are missing the biggest thing. Sure, the sword makes the samurai, but with the advent of globalization swords are everywhere. What you need is a good set of armor. The streets of feudal Japan are rough, and any two-bit thug can get a sword. Not having a good set of armor leaves you highly vulnerable to attack.

Another important question for the armor is if you are a ronin. Ronin travel a lot, so weight is a big issue. The quandary there is that lighter armor generally protects worse. Sure, modern materials help, but no self-respecting samurai would use modern materials.

Ahh Yeauhh, Then you'd really need to ad a good little yoroi tōshi and solid skill set in a jujutsu ryu to to go along with that sword in order to be effective in defending against you with all that armor on! ;)
 
Bah I forgot the wakizashi and tanto. I have shamed myself and my family. Not seppuku level shame, but shame nonetheless.

I meant you hadn't been reading any of the other comments made by the guy spamming the board, because if you had, you would realize that he was spamming the board. If you don't believe me, it will be hard to prove, since as this very thread shows, all of his posts were deleted.

oh ok, I get ya now. I was just confused. I see that they were deleted as well, its saying I started this thread now. I'm gonna close it because it has no purpose anymore.
