I need help again

I need help getting in contact with a customer in China. From our past correspondence I get the feeling they are dealers of some sort. They ordered and paid for 2 expensive knives about $7000. Payment was made through a bank transfer months ago and I shipped the knives through a shipping agent in Hong Kong. One of the knives was damaged in transit and was returned to me for a replacement. I finished the replacement a couple of months ago but have not been able to get back in touch with the customer again. Since my only shipping information is through a third party I don’t feel comfortable just sending the knife there without an authorization from the buyer. I tried to e-mail them many times with no response and I sent a Global Express Mail letter to the shipping agent also with no reply. Last night I had a phone message from an Asian lady that was very hard to understand but I think it was from this customer from China asking about the knife. She left a partial phone number but the message was very hard to understand.

The e-mails come in from either BING or A J.

The Shipping agent is:

ASL International Limited
Unit 602-605
Millennium Trade Centre
56 Kwai Cheong Road
Kwai Chung, N.T.
Hong Kong

Ctc: Chloe Tam

If anyone has any information or ideas that might help I would appreciate an e-mail or response to this post.

Thank you,

Daniel

Dan: At least you were paid. Being that it's an expensive knife, it seems reasonable that the buyer will contact you at some point about the replacement knife. I would just hold on to the knife, so it is ready when they finally contact you. You have made a good effort to contact them, and have fulfilled your obligation cto the best of your ability.

I agree with RJ. I wish I had some other suggestion for how you might contact your buyer, but I don't.

Perhaps I just dreamed this, but I seem to recall being told that owning any Bowie style knife is a crime in China, and they are subject to confiscation, which may account for the indirect point of contact. The buyer does not want to be associated directly with the purchase.

I think I may able to help you.

If you can give me their name and phone number, I will contact them and find out some solutions.

reflex Lin,

All I know is Bing and A J

The best I can tell from the phone message I got yesterday the phone number is 860286392390 but I can't be sure.

get someone who can speak in Mandarin / Cantonese to speak to the HK agent. Also, they sent $$, so there must be a trail of sorts?

I can imagine the buyer must be pretty anxious too...I applaud your continued efforts to track down the buyer. $7k is a gargantuan sum of money to many of us.
