What is better Spyderco tenacious or the Benchmade hk flak a big 5 exclusive also is there any good folder under 30 dollars

I would get the Tenacious. It's a solid knife and I hate assisted openings. (they tend to gum up over time with lint and dirt)

Agreed - the Spyderco.

In that $30 price range is the Buck Vantage Pro Select and the Rat 2 are worth a look.

Kershaw and Boker both make several models for that budget. I've personally not had good luck with CRKT but YMMV.

The Tangram Santa Fe is on my list at that price. Japanese Acuto440 steel, great blade shape, and deep carry clip.

I've owned both. Either will do you just fine.

If you like assisted opening, get the Flak. if you don't, get the Tenacious.

Only other thing that might make a difference for you could be that the Flak has a deep pocket carry clip.

I think the HK stuff is all clearance now and may be difficult to find.

The Tenacious is a nice knife. But this may your last chance to get the HK. Benchmade's not building knives for HK anymore. I doubt the Tenacious is going anywhere soon.

after reading all you guys replies I am probably going to get the tenacious and will get the HK flak in the near future thanks u guys for the help

I have used that Acuto440 before and I have to say I liked it a lot more than the 8cr that comes on the Tenacious. I am curious how Kizer runs their heat treat on the Acuto.

Rat 1 & 2 are probably the most frequently recommended knives in the $30 category? I've owned a few of each and agree 100%.
