So after a lond dry spell I finally have some knofe money to play with and I can't decide which way to go. I have $300-350 to play with and I'm looking at a few different options but can't decide.

So far I'm looking at:

Strider PT CC. I never thought I would be interested in a Strider, but my tastes seem to be changing. I really like the design and don't have anything in that size. Not sure if I can live without a pocket clip though. I have never handled one.

Spyderco Southard. Used to think it incredibly ugly but I like flippers and can't afford a Hinderer. Has a good rep and they look pretty good if you swap out the god awful factory scale with some CF.

Microtech Mini Matrix. I like this one. Again, on the small side but I don't have anything in that size range. I don't have any Microtechs at the moment...

I'm open to other suggestions as well but really looking for input on these 3. Thanks!

well you could get the non CC strider PT :D im also in the market for one I want another small high end folder and if I cant find one in the nest few months im getting a WH EDC or kestrel

I will say this, the southard is surprisingly small in the hand... I have small hands and it felt very small.

I have a Southard with a re-profiled blade, modded down to a 3 inch blade.

Let me just say that I have medium sized hands and it fits flawlessly in my hand.

Locks up at roughly 35%, solid as a rock with no play and the lock up hasn't moved at all.

Now Striders IMO are just plain awesome, and its totally based on personal preference.

I love my SnG DGG, its smooth as glass and its a perfect sized EDC.

I've handled the CC PT and its roughly the same size as a small Sebenza.

I have a few Customs without clips, but I much refer my knives to have clips.

You could go for a Lego CC PT, which have a clip, but I personally like the Concealed Carry a lot more.

As for the Mini Matrix, I haven't handled one but almost purchased one about a month ago.

Looks like an awesome knife, but I'd recommend holding off and waiting for the ZT 0770CF.

You can check out some of the vids on YouTube from Blade, knife is gonna be amazing.

Just my .02

William Henry EDC series.

The EDC 10 is a surprising large amount of knife in a super slim, super small package. I love it!!

Are you looking for something small and light or do you want over built hard user? The PT is a very small very over built folder. If you are looking for a small high quality folder that will last for the rest of your life I think the PT could be the one. I have a Southard and I love that thing ! The southard is not nearly as small as the PT,it is more comparable to the Para2.The CTS 204p steel has been great! A big plus on the Southard side.If you are looking for a small light folder with D2 steel check out some of William Henry's E series knives

I am simply looking for a nice knife. Overbuilt or otherwise. The WH edc series is out. Had one, didn't like it. Size isn't really a concern. I have all my bases covered, this is just because I have fundage. Waiting for ZT to eventually release a knife is also out. Free money doesn't hand around long for me. If I don't use it, it will likely be appropriated for bills or something.

I would probably go with a Strider then.

You should also check out a SnG if you don't have one already.

The PT is a really nice knife but the SnG is the perfect size between the SMF and PT.

Either way I'm sure you're going to go with a great choice :D

Ok, well I guess I didn't need THAT much help deciding. Just snagged a PT CC on a certain online auction site for what I consider a reasonable price considering they seem to be scarce at the moment. Black CC with flamed lock side and tiger stripe blade. The idea of a knife with no clip is intriguing to me, especially since I'm wondering if a small knife like the PT will fit in the change pocket in my jeans. And it gives me an excuse to put a wicked lanyard on it. And hey, if I decide it's not for me I doubt I'll lose much, if any, money on it. Thanks for the input guys, pics when it gets here!

Good choice and nice score, I was watching the listing as well lol.

And to answer your question, yes it should fit in the 5th pocket perfectly.

I usually EDC my Small Sebenza in my 5th pocket and it fits great.

Enjoy that PT and carry her well!!

The 0560cbcf's are coming in stock! Get one while you can!

Yea, my local shop has a bunch of them. Unfortunately they do just as much for me as the regular 0560- which is nothing.

I think I'll be happy with the PT, provided I don't get it and realize it's fake or something.

here are my suggestions for that price range:
1. ZT 560 CBCF (in S110V)
2.Microtech Whaleshark in CTS-204p
