I Need Help Finding a Knife with Unique Blade Shape

Hello everybody. I need some help finding my next knife. I have been a knife guy for a few years now, and my taste seems to change regularly, but at the moment I'm very interested in tantos, recurves, and non recurves with a deep belly like a Tuff Tanic (also a blade shape I would love but too unique for my price range). I can't seem to find a knife that appeals to my taste at a realistic price point for me though. There is a knife by John Barker that I really like, but I can't seem to find a production knife with a similar blade shape. I'm not looking for a direct copy of the knife, just something with a similar blade shape. There are a couple of knives that I do like, but neither is exactly what I'm looking for: Kizer ki401t & Koenig Atrox. I love tantos that have the rounded tip like the Atrox (also the HTM Gunhammer Radian comes to mind), but it looks really chunky and I'd rather not have an auto.

I would appreciate any help in finding a knife with the blade shape (or close to the blade shape) that I am after. I'm not too picky on other details, I would rather a manual folder (but autos are not completely out of the question). Size I'm kind of open to, ideally 3.5, but anything just under 3 inches to just over 4 would be fine. My price range is probably around $350.

Thank you for your time.

Kind of reminds me of a ZT 0200. Too bad they are discontinued.

also the HTM Gunhammer Radian comes to mind, but it looks really chunky and I'd rather not have an auto.

I was just going to recommend a Radian Gunhammer... they come in assisted, bearings, or auto... not just auto. I actually have a custom Radian Gunhammer.

If that's too chunky for you, check out the ZT0350 which has a slight recurve and fat blade in a flat/compact liner lock design.

Check out the Spartan Blades Akribis. It's a little higher than you mentioned wanting to spend, but the blade has a very slight recurve with a long pointy flat section towards the tip.

Kershaw Speed Bump, you can still find them. Got this one in CPM154. It is an assisted open knife.

Thanks for all the help guys! I've always been a big ZT fan so I've owned the 200, 350, and 303 before. I've also owned a speed bump. I have been wanting another 200, but the stonewashed version, but the handle thickness is what has kept me away. Its the only knife I've ever owned that I felt was too chunky. The speed bump was a cool knife but I hated the pocket clip, I had it switched, but it not being able to be tip up or ambi carry made me get rid of it. I'm a righty, but I like to carry on my left side occasionally.

The HTM Gunhammer is a sweet looking knife, I like the radian and tanto blade shapes, but neither is perfect. I guess I'm too picky. LOL. So far the knife I like the most is the Brous/Turpin Strife. I also like the Spyderco Navaja, but I've owned one before and got rid of it because it felt kind of weak around the pivot area.... I don't know if it is weak around the pivot area, or if I am just too used to ZTs. The Spyderco Lum Tanto is a very nice looking knife, I just like wider blades I guess. I've never had the chance to handle one though, or any other knives on the list that I haven't owned. I live in a rural area with NO knife shops.. :(

That Akribis is awesome looking! The price is out of my comfort zone, but if the used ones are in my price range that could be a possibility. Thanks again everyone! Keep em coming. I'm not done searching until I see a knife that brings tears to my eyes. :D

If you like HTM check out the Bullwhip or the Lambert MGT. i have a tanto sebenza and you can get one for just a shade over your budget right now. Maybe find one used in the exchange.

Thank you! The tanto Sebenzas are beautiful! Finding a used one of those would be awesome.

I found another knife that has a great blade shape that I love, also a John Barker knife (like the Tosa featured in the picture of my first post), it is called the Hokkaido. I love that style of tanto, but it is WAY out of my price range. LOL. So far the tanto Sebenza and Strife are on the top of my list.

Strider RCC, but you'll have to look on the secondary market since they're discontinued. They can be had as framelocks or linerlocks.
