I would like a knife with these qualities:
no more than $80
available on Amazon
folding
assisted-open
liner lock
3.9" recurve blade
(If possible, I like the blade shape of the Schrade SCH601Ti)
decent quality blade steel
ergonomic handle
sturdy construction

I've looked for months and I can't find a knife quite right.
If it doesn't fit one or two of the qualities, I'd still like to see what you have in mind.

Just curious why available on Amazon is a quality? There are actual dedicated knife shops with better product related QC with much better pricing

I think it's going to be tough finding a good 3.9" blade with assisted opening at that price point. That doesn't allow you to get up to ZT prices, but maybe something from CRKT or Boker Plus would be an option. From personal experience (and half your max price) I would start with the Kershaw Tremor. Not the greatest steel, but Kershaw does a good job with their 8Cr13MoV and the workmanship will be solid. At 3.75" inches, it's still a pretty generous blade.

Try this on Amazon:

Timberline 1233 Signature Knife Series, Large, Plain Edge
Timberline
$20.99 - $106.76

You want a drop point blade, but you like a knife that has a recurve?

A Kershaw blur meets all of your requirements, except a 3.9" blade.

If you can't find a knife, that is "quite right" then you need to up your budget.

I also think your budget is a little tight. Since you've been looking for months just put aside an extra $20-40 and that will open a lot of doors in both the used and new market:thumbup:

If you can drop the 3.9" requirement, I consider the Kershaw Blur S30V to be the perfect $80 Amazon choice.
