I need a 2.5" blade, as MA (Boston specifically) law states, and I am looking for some of the best flipper designers. I would like to purchase a high quality flipper that has a blade of 2.25-2.5 inches. I know a few custom knife makers, but I was wondering if there are some whom do some specialty work with flipper folders.

If you can help me please post some advice.

Thank you very much for your time.

Take a look at yuna knives. Don"t know if the blade will work for you but they have a 3" blade but if you get the big choil it"s only a 2 1/4 cutting edge. Awsome flipper , I'm getting ready to order a yuna myself.Just have to figure what model:D

Those are very nice knives. I just took a look at all of there models. I could not find the flipper that you mentioned. I did find a 2.25" blade, but it was a normal folder.

Some of the bigger blades with the big choil have a flipper. Maybe he can make it for you on a smaller blade.Check out the thread over on the general disscusion, there is one on the yuna but a larger blade.

Check out the mini hard-big choil series , mini hard 1,2 and 3.They have a flipper on them.

Check out David Winston in Starkville, Mississippi. Tacticals don't float my boat but his flippers are cool off the charts.

Les Voorhies makes a very nice smaller, gentleman's flipper that sports IKBS and last I checked he's still taking orders: http://www.lesvoorhiesknives.com/

I used to own one of his small Model 9(?) flippers and it was a great knife, 2.6" blade and well tuned detent.

Gerry McGinnis has the Shrimp model that flips like a pancake, but you'll have to find one on the secondary market as he's not taking orders.
