I would like to make a tooling arm for the early Bader Machines that will work with the New Rotary Platen. I'm asking help from someone with one of these machines to make some measurements and sketches for me. These are the machines with the round receptical on the frame that the tooling arm fits into.....with the tracking system that swings the complete arm side to side....

The tooling arm will be a square bar with a round diameter turned on the receptical end....?

Any help please?

Sincerely,
Rob

Rob, get ahold of Mike Fitzgerald(fitzo), he has one, and he just got one of your KMG1 grinders. He draws well too. ;)

Rob,

The arms are 1 1/4" square with a 3/4" turned round end that is 2" long. Any other info gimme a call.

Thanks for the notes! I should have posted this sketch earlier.

These are the dimensions that I need. This is a sketch of the top view of the arm with a contact wheel on it....(say an 8" wheel)

What is the offset from the center of the c-wheel to the center of the arm (dimension A)? and what is the length of the arm...say from the center of the c-wheel to the shoulder at the round stud (dimension B).

Thanks again,

Rob
