I seem to have lost my last G-Shock and need a new one but I can't wear the plastic-resin bands. They break me out.I rigged my last G-shock to use a cheap nylon-velcro band.I never really liked the cheap band but it was the only one I could rig to fit.

I need to know which solar powered atomic signal receiving G-shock to get that will accept the adapters that allow it to use the Maratac Zulu bands.

I know there are a few models listed that fit the adapters.I would like help with which are the better models.I've read on several threads that some G-shocks have experienced battery problems.I can't find all the old threads on the G-shock forums and just need some input from someone more experienced with the G-shocks and various models.

Thanks
Randy

Look at the Casio pathfinders. I think the G-Shock 5400,5500 or the 5600 can be fitted that way. I have been away from the G-Shock community for over a year so this G models may be off. How about a G with a metal bracelet? They are light weight and comfortable.

I've seen models from the 5600 series with bracelets. If I remember correctly, you can buy such bracelets seperately and put them on a GW-M5600 or similar model. Probably you get better answers on that on the G-Shock forum at Watchuseek.

All G-Shocks take a 16mm band, right? So shouldn't the adapters fit all G-Shocks?

That was a point I was a little confused about. If the adapters fit all G-shocks then why list a few models in the first place and then specify 16mm models? Maby they aren't all 16mm.I'm still trying to find out.

I thought about a metal band and would go that direction but during my research so far I've found out that the metal bracelet models I've looked at had a resin link next to the case anyway.

Yeah, I have a non-G-Shock Casio with a steel bracelet and it has resin ends. You could use an aftermarket bracelet, though, a Spiedel or whatever.

You could try a silicone strap. I doubt that would provoke an allergic reaction.

You might want to ask the guys on the G-shock subforum on Watchuseek.

Another option would be a bund strap -- like this:

That way even the plastic of the case wouldn't be touching your skin.

This is what I am talking about. No resin. A buddy of mine ha this watch and it has been nothing short of spectacular. He manages 2 commercial equipment rental stores and is very very rough on his watches. This watch is bad ass.
This is actually the model I want. Tome Cruise wore it in MI3. I don't really care about that but that is where I first saw this watch.

I like that strap.Cool watch too.The problem is that I need to find one of the solar powered, wave receiving models that the adapters will fit.On my last model the pins fit so close to the case that only a piece of extremly thin material would go between the pin and case. The leather around the pin on the band in your picture would be way too thick.

I did find another sport model Casio that is solar powered and atomic clock signal receiving that will work with a convential band. It's not a G-Shock but is probably durable as well.
