So I bought this axe head at a a flea market and cant figure out what the brand is/ who the makers mark belongs to the mark look kind of like a berry with a leaf on it and has the letters j and s on either side additionally it has the numbers 125c under it the pitting is kind of pronounced so I cAnt tell what is logo and what is pitting thanks for any helps I just found that I have no idea how to post a picture so you will just have to go off of my description so here are some more details the overall pattern is a Hudson Bay pattern but it's kind of an odd looking Hudson Bay it has been obviously hand forged and has an odd pattern in the eye it's kind of like a normal eye except it is much wider than any eye Ive seen on any axe head and once you get to the poll end of the eye it's flat

I'm thinking it's European, with wide eye for ash handle, and marked 1250 for the weight in grams. The description of the stamp doesn't ring any bells.

A photo would be helpful. If you can first upload some photos to a free site like photobucket, then the photos can be added to your posts here (using the photo's URL at photobucket).
