I need help rebuilding a Buck 186 (yes the old, HUGE Ti 110 lookin thing)

I acquired a Buck 186, which I heard was a bit of a rarity? The only problem is..I have NO idea how to detail strip this thing. (the pivot and locking system is a little screwy) Will Buck themselves do it, or is it better to toss it over to STR or something? Thanks!
 
If you haven't already, post this question on the Buck forum. Next, email Joe Houser at Buck, jhouser@buckknives.com. I've read that it's real easy to strip those screws and that's why Buck later came out with the 560. Joe will be able to give you straight scoop and he's a great guy to work with.
