I need help with a neck knife cord!

Hey guys, i have a CRKT Spew but i need a good necklace for it. I'm really looking for something to wear under a t-shirt and that is fairly low profile. I have several hundred feet of paracord, which i believe should be enough and a few types of little clasps. This will need something that does more than just hang around my neck. I've tried a few different things, but nothing helpful yet. SO, i was wondering if anyone has any advice on how i could make one.

For safety reasons I have started to have some sort of break away link in lanyards and things that go around my neck. Just some thing to think about.

I use 550 cord threaded opposite directions through a button style cord lock. It provides enough resistance that it won't easily come off on it's own, but will pull free under heavy pressure. Easy peasy.

Ball and chain threaded thru 550 paracord

Measure the length of ball and chain
Cut the 550 to length
Before you take out the filler thread, tie it to the ball and chain
Use the filler thread as a pull thru for the chain
Heat the ends of the paracord to stop fraying and melt it onto the chain so the cord does not slide around

This is what we do in the Israeli Army for dog tags
