My technique starts with a flip out opening (kinda like a windmill but to the side), it's found in www.balisong.com or in one of Jeff Imada's books (I think the first one). But instead of flipping the handle out, around, and receiving it I flip the handle out and part way around and then I let go, this produces a "Helicopter" effect with the 2 handles and the blade twirling in air horizontally, I then catch it with my opposite hand (usually my left hand catches). The problem is the catching part; as the balisong is twirling counter-clockwise (if balisong is going from RH to LH) I have to catch it in my LH, it's really hard to receive both handles and make the technique complete and smooth. I hope you understand what I am trying to do and it's easy to see the problem when you know what is happening, if you don't understand what I am doing just let me know and I'll try to help as best as I can.
