I need help with IE Explorer and Forum software

I hope this is in the correct sub-forum.......

Here's my problem and I cannot figure it out. I get to the login page of a forum that uses VBulletin [same as BFC]. I sign in and it says: "Thank you for logging in Wolfmann601" but will not re-direct me to what should now be the accessed forum!!

It does nothing even when I click on the proceed button or the "if you are not taken automatically, blah..blah, click here" line. Instead it just times out and then says: "Server is busy, try again later". I KNOW that the server is not busy!!!

I visit several other forums that use Vbulletin and non other give me this grief.

Any ideas???, I am truly frustrated......

You might need to clear your Temp files and clear the cookies. That should do the trick.

tried that Ken and it just won't work.

I had a strange sense that they banned an IP address and I got caught in the net but the forum does acknowledge me logging in. It must be an IE Explorer add-on but I have no clue as to which one may be at fault.
Any other ideas? This is truly frustrating

Ira, I had to get the Mozilla Firefox browser just for VBulletin forums as IE was just toooooooo slow and all kinds of errors happened using it.

You get less spyware and popups with Firefox too. It's real easy to use and your favorites will transfer right over from IE with no problems.

They also have an extension you can get for the Firefox browse to allow you to see that page in IE for ease of putting in new favorites etc.
