Hey folks, certified Emerson nut here. I have been carrying a pocket knife since I can remember but really started to get into quality blades a few years ago. It all started when I bought an Emerson CQC-15. I immediately felt how much better it was than the Gerber and CRKT that I had been regularly using. I figured I needed a backup in case I lost it at work , as I have been known to do, so I got a CQC-7B. Well, I don't know what happened from there but I have acquired many Emersons since then with about 10 in the past 2 weeks. I can justify a few, like the Persian since it hard to come by, but did I really need another 7V or 2 micro commanders? (I don't even like small knives but I love this one) My bank account is seriously hurting but I still want more. I'm out of town for work right now so I only have a commander and 7B on me but when I get home there will be a few boxes waiting for me, including one with my first custom Emerson. Does it ever get any better or should I just accept the fact that I will be knife poor for the rest of my life?

Hello fellow Emerson fan! Welcome to the club! I would say that you will be knife poor like some others here and me. It may get better as you start running out of models to buy. Emerson does comes out with new models every year with limited editions of existing ones so it's kind of a on going addiction. Nothing wrong with multiple of something so long as you like them. Make yourself happy, buy another Emerson!

Haha, welcome to the club! Oh, and we like pics. Sounds like you have quite the collection started.

I remember being welcomed to the Emerson fan club some time ago. Immediately following that was someone writing that my expenable income is now gone.

I can see what that meant now.

So are you getting a stonewash finish or black cerakote? Might have to get a black coated one myself.

I wanted to be the first kid on the block with a black one (and get it to Andrew posthaste - wait until you see what he sent out to me today).
