I need help

I just received a Blk and tan battle Rat. It is somewhat different than other BRs I have handled. I also need some help with terms. Along the spine where it begins to taper down toward the tip it is ground to look like a false edge. I am not sure what the term is for this, but none of the other BR I have or handled had this. Thespines are completly flat to the tip, except for the one with Penetrator tip. Was this an odd ball one or have I just not seen enough of them?
 
I think a few had modified clip points. They were done like this to make the black and tan have a little something extra, something different from the norm.

I'm not sure if they all had it or just some, you may have a rare find

Out of 3 Blk and Tans this is the only one I have seen with it. I just may have to hang on to it.......Thanks Eric!

My cam blade BR has the same clip point. I love it, its definatly a better look than the flat spine.

I just picked up another mint BR, a black/tan one as well. It has the same clip point that you are mentioning.

The black/black BR that I have (thanks to westllen :thumbup: ) is flat all the way to the tip, I love the look of the black/black BR.

Ahhh, blk and blk BR...OOh how I miss my BR . But it has a happy home .. now with Ed.
so I feel better.
now back to my new ones ! yippee:D :D

Jason - Are you absolutely sure that the B&T BR that I sold you didn't have that grind? I bought two, sold one to you when I was in a blade-buying-crunch, and felt confident they both had that cool swedge. My memory, along with other cerebral functions, is failing fast so I guess I could be mistaken.

Hey I have a Blk/Tan BR just like the one in the pic.....yippee . So whats the exact deal with the top edge cut. Does give it powers above all the other BR's:D :D

I got'a King BR...I got'a King BR :D
 
and I must say.. excellent pics ED, :thumbup: thanks , and thanks to who ever sold me that tan/blk BR, only if I can remember !:D :D
