Not really just a question.... What year did CRK start putting the dates inside the scales on the Sebenza's?.

The earliest date stamp I've seen is B97. The P's and numbered Regulars didn't have a stamp, and I once had a Seb from March 1997 (hello Dan) that didn't have any date stamps. My conclusion would be that B97 is probably the earliest, but CR or someone who has a knife between March and August 1997 would have to verify.

Steve, here's a datum. Small regular, DOB 8/28/97, no date stamps on either scale.

I'm really starting to wonder if, originally, the "A-B-C" marks were for batches instead of relating directly to any particular period of time. I believe that the current procedure is by quarter (A=Jan,Feb,Mar; B=Apr,May, Jun; etc.)

That is my understanding of sebs as well. The earliest knife in my collection is 1997 and is stamped as such.
