...Specifically, I'm trying to determine who the sheath maker was for the 1st run Blackjack Knives Applegate/Fairbairn knives, and...

What the handle colors were for the 1st 50 BJK's...

Along the same line, how many of what type did T.J Yancy build, including prototypes, i.e. blade finish, blade steel, handle material, handle color, etc...

Same goes for Bill Harsey, and Al Mar...

With regards to AMK, how many white ones were made before the switch to black, and black (200?) before green?

I'll try to touch bases with Bill, Gary Fadden, Jason Stewart, and Tex Shoemaker about these questions, but if anyone here can help, (including lurkers), I'd sure appreciate it.

Old timer's, please try to look back and remember.

Private emails are ok, and if you ask, I'll make the call if you'd like.

Again, thanks guys!

I have a Mar that I picked up about 16 yrs ago that is dead mint except one day I was looking at it and the green scales had actually cracked and pretty much were disinergrating right before my eyes. I rescaled it in Cocobolo and it looks and feels great. They say of all the production models Mar,BJ and Boker the Mars were the best. As far as the rest of your questions go this is all I can offer.I will add that the current practice of offering them with serrations is BS ruins the look of the knife and is just a whimsy to sell more to those that like tactical breadknives.
