I have had a really messed up couple of years. So much so that I had to sell my baby. My satin black paper leaner meaner street.

My very first Busse. Sigh...

Anyway, I know that the brother I sold it to told me that he would hold it for me...But I don't remember who that Hog was...

Things have looked up for this Hog.

Where are you Bro?

I need my baby back.

HEAVY IS BACK BABY!

:D

Welcome back, Heavy!!

Hope you get your baby back. :)

Ill help out in the search, it looks just like this one for people who dont know what they look like.

Hey Paul,

You sold that one to me, although I don't recall any conversation about holding onto it for you--maybe that was another knife? I sent it in to Garth, who refinished and "sterilized" it (removed logo), and I later sold/traded it to Trevor (knifehunter). Don't know if he still has it or not. Well-travelled little blade.

Good luck with your quest, and glad to see you're back.

Paul!!!

Sooo good to see you back, my brother! Yay!  Welcome, welcome, welcome!

Thanks all for the greetings!

Will, you are right. I was thinking of my meaner street. Thanks for putting me on the trail.

 BTW, knife hunter is two words if you do a search for Trevor. I compounded it into one word in my post above.

Best regards,
Will

Great looking grips, Brendan--some of the nicest I've seen. What's the clip capacity on that .45?

Welcome back Heavy !

I don't remember who snagged it, I know I was tempted.

A Satin / Black Paper Leaner Meaner was my first Busse too, but we've had this conversation.

Still got mine, hope you find yours, good luck !

Heavy,

Should hunting your Meaner down prove difficult, you might try setting your sights on a "Tweener" Meaner St. These animals are full height ground and about .17-.18" thick. They tend to pop up at shows from time to time. Busse has brought back black paper micarta in a big way so it shouldn't be too hard to track one down. .I scored these 2 Tweeners at the Great Easton (Pa.) Traveling Trough Show I back in '09. The top one is black paper and I know it's not the only one out there.

Also, another newer Meaner release from the Custom Shop is the SLUT St. (Super Lightweight Ultra Thick Meaner Street) and a lot of them have BP handles. The SLUT series have a skeletonized handle and are hollow ground  Nice & light for the size. Not sure why the "Ultra Thick" part of the nickname for the Meaner... It's .22", just like the originals... But the SAD is also .22"...Beefy for AD's.)

SLUT Street & Duty pair...

Good Hunting!

Good luck getting your gorgeous blade back!! I hope the owner is generous enough to get it back to you due to your sentimental attachment.

I know about hard times and would hope that if I had to sell a favorite of mine, I would be blessed to be able to get it back some day.

The sterile part seems to be the key here as there do not appear to be many and I was told that wasn't original factory new. This sounds a lot like the description of the one I had and traded to gimmejr earlier this year you can see here. The guy I got it from in a trade said it he bought it from "a dealer here on BF", but I do not know which one for sure. Hope this helps.

Heavy(Paul), good to see ya around again Bro!!! Good luck on the hunt, I know the feeling.
