Hey guys. I could use some advice on a knife design. Tell me what I need to do to make it better or what I shouldn't do. It's from a file that has been softened. Sorry about the poor quality of the pictures but it's the best I can do. I normally make knives from railroad spikes so this is a little different for me.

Thanks in advance
Tim

Nevermind. can't get the picture to post.

In my humble opinion, you have a very usable and simple design. It would help to have some measurements (OAL, Blade, Thickness, etc...) to make better judgment calls. It looks like a good start to me, I would leave the File teeth under the scales and above the Primary Grind.

I'm with RyanW, very common design. The reason it's common is because it's functional. While I'm not a fan of the aesthetics of the whole thing, a lot of people like it, or else value function over form. Personally, I don't see why you can't have both.
