So, i am looking for a new sharpener. I am thinking I would like to try the work sharp. Does anyone have pics/reviews on it? I pretty much want you to persuade me one way or the other.
Also, i saw kf only came with 3 different grit belts
Where could I get some more variety?
Also, is it possible to put a mirror polish on the edge with this thing?
Thanks for your time!

Alternatively, what is the best sharpening system I can get for under $150?

I picked up a worksharp a while ago for a great deal. At first I was amazed by it, and even wrote some good reviews based on a couple weeks of use. I literally went through every knife I could get my hands on and reprofiled/sharpened them up. I am still not a completely sure why, but I soon grew unhappy with it, and once it started squeeling loudly I end up getting rid of it. I know the worksharp is a good product and most people will enjoy it, but it just wasn't for me and I went back to my old Lansky system. This probably doesn't help you, but I thought I should put it out there. If I had $150 I wanted to spend on sharpening stuff, I would buy a full lansky set with the diamond plates, and a nice strop with some compound.

edit- ....and maybe a ceramic rod for touch ups and recurves.

Yes. I have a work sharp, and I use it on all of my blades. When I offered to sharpen that manix for you, it was because I have the work sharp. I can get a hair popping sharp knife from a 60 degree inclusive go 30 inclusive in an hour, with a mirror edge. I reset my phone, and as such I don't have any pictures of a knife with said edge. All of mine have been used and are now scratched up. I'll try to sharpen one tomorrow and I will then put a picture up.

Here is a picture I found on one of my forum posts. Not a very good quality photo, and this was the 3rd or 4th knife I sharpened. I was that confident to sharpen a 260 dollar knife with it. That's how easy it was and still is for me. I use it with the belt facing me. Always edge trailing that way.
