I'm trying to design my perfect JK knife. I will be getting on John's February list with the design we come up with. What I have been thinking is a combination of the Lobo handle with a spearpoint blade.
Will you artists please draw me a picture?
This handle and blade width.

With this blade shape around 7 inches in length.

Thanks.

I'll tackle that at work tomorrow. Nothing like using the companies 10000 dollar CAD program to draw up knives. Man I really do love my job.:D

OOOOOOOOH, I can't wait!

Even though John does not do double edges I went ahead and drew this up.

It was a little more difficult than I thought it would be. The transition from handle to blade was a challenge. Then just where does the edge start was another thing that was a little difficult.

If you remove the top edge and just bring that middle grind line all the way up to the top, it looks like it would be an excellent spear point flat-ground woods knife / fighter.

All the best,

- Mike

Could I ask why you wanted a double edged knife of that design...what would be it's intended purpose ?

I don't want a double edge, I just want that shape. Sorry about the confusion, that was the only pic I could find with just the right shape.

Exactly what I was thinking.

The only thing I'm thinking differently than you on this is that I want the blade wider than the handle, like the Lobo. The portion below the handle makes a great guard and keeps my knuckles out of the way for kitchen duty.

The Lobo has a 2" tall blade, so that`s probably the way to go. Single edge is just like Megan Fox, very doable ;)

When I get home today I can bring up the Lobo's graphic and change the blade shape for you. I don't have that file here at work.

Excellent quote!!!!!!!!!!!

Lobo is my do-all, tough bastid blade. Mine is a brute!

How thick is your Lobo? I'm thinking 1/8 as I want it tough but I want a slicer.
You know, the more I look at it, a 7x2 inch version of this blade would be nice.
