I need some help identifing the manufacturer of a hatchet.

The logo is worn on one side. It appears the last 4 letters are "PLCO" or "PICO" and in the a triangle shape. I searched the net but haven't had any luck. This is my first post, I don't have permission to post attachments . Any ideas would help, Thanks.

Maybe it's one of these:

Early Dernell (Athens, NY) Hatchet Stamped P.I.Co.
The hatchet is stamped on the left side H.F. Dernell, Athens, N.Y. Unfortunately, the ell part is not visible. The H.F. Dernell & Co. was in operation in Athens, NY from 1854 to 1917. The handle has "LA" hand carved on the side and a crack at the back near the head, as shown in the previous linked photo. On the right side is stamped P.I.Co.
