The lanyard hole.
Is where I get stuck. I take out all the screws (starting with pivot going down).
Then i can take the g10 scales and move them, but they don't come off because of the lanyard pin. Then the liners just kind of get stuck and bind.
PIc's would be helpful.

you might have been better off posting this in the spyderco forum. maybe esav can move it for you.

Most people who have Spyderco's with the pressed in lanyard tube don't usually remove the scales altogether when dissembling for a thorough cleaning. We usually just rotate the scale a little to get the blade out if that is the goal. I have never removed a scale completely from the lanyard tube myself. I hear it can be difficult to get the scale(s) back on if even possible without some damage.

What are you trying to accomplish?

i've taken mine apart, and the tube was difficult to remove. i used a piece of wood, almost as thick as the space between the liners, and gently pried the liners apart, thus removing the tube.
reassembly just took a little patience and care, but i was successful.
good luck and i hope this helps,
don

Lanyard tubes on most Spydercos are press fitted (slightly flared). Why are you trying to completely disassemble the knife?

I just wanna give it a good cleaning/ lube maybe polish the washers a little.

The first time I took it apart it was a night mare to put it back the washers wouldn't go in it took forever, and the scalers hard to put back.
My buck vantage pro is a breeze to clean and put back together.
