Some of you may have noticed that I tend to carry a K&M match safe a lot in the field. It always has matches and striker, and a small ceramic rod for edge touch up if I need it.
But that's not the only reason I like it. It also has a decent 20mm compass. Now, I have a few compasses. I am fond of mirrored sighting compasses for several reasons. But I like the the 20mm compass as a back up, and quite frankly here in the gorges it does me as much good when it comes to any normally needed navigation.
I have the sheaths for my work knives set up to carry the K&M match safe. I am trying to find another one, preferably one of the aluminum ones but brass would be fine, for the sheath I rigged up for my daughter. I am going to be working on a lot of things at once with her while we are out and about this year, and I'd really like to find another one of these. I tried contacting the folks at K&M with no luck. No response from emails and the phone is disconnected. If any of you know someone who has one of these match safes in stock I would appreciate the information.
Thanks,
Brian
