I have an old Smith & Wesson folding double edge knife, I bought it new in the late 70s or early 80s. As a matter of fact I had completely forgot about it until going through some of my old stuff at my dad's house last week. This knife is an unconventional folder that has a blade cover that encloses the blade and then folds back into the handle. It has the S&W logo on the cover and on a button on the sheath. I have been scouring the internet looking for one of these knives and have come up with nada, as a matter of fact I have never seen another like it. Does anyone have any idea about this knife or any resources as to where I can learn more about it. When I get home tonight I will take some pics and post them. Thanks, Chris

I have been looking solid and nothing on this knife, any suggestions.

Neat looking little knife I must say, So was it a knife your dad used, If it was, it may take some looking around to find information.

No my dad didn't use it, it was in a box of my old stuff, this knife probably hasn't seen the light of day since about 1983. Chris

I just googled s&w paratrooper knife and came up with a new design that looks very similar to yours it is called the powerglide I'll keep checking....Good luck
