I just bought my first Buck knife today.
It's a Ranger and I want to know when it was made.
Is there any site I can go to so I can see how old it is?
It has

on it. My father said that Case knives have a system to check the
age of the knife using the dots. Where can I do that?

Thanks.

I dont know how Case does it but we only used the dots for a brief period of time. Then we went to unique date code marks for each year. That list is also on our web site in case you hadn't run into it already.
Hope this helps. :)

David,,
I was re-reading this and some semi dead brain cell perked up and wants to know a little more about your 112. Mainly, if by some remote chance you managed to find a "new" one that has been laying around somewhere.

Tell us your treasure story. :D

That's enough of that!!! :grumpy: Once they're dead, let them rest in peace!!! :D

jeeezzzz,,,,I did say semi-dead...gimme a break,,,,thems the only ones I got left. After all,,,I am one of the older-n-dirt guys here...:o :D :D

Don't forget a 120 or some such knife... it will come in handy for opening those ss checks and cans of Ensure. :D
