Hey guys. Im this close to a purchase, and if I had some in-the-hand pics of an axe or two, it would really help to get a better idea of the size.
Im looking at the GB Scandinavian Forest Axe, and the Council Tool Boys Axe 28". If you can post some pics of these guys I would really appreciate it. Hey, a pic of the GB American Felling axe 31" length would sure help too!

Im really torn between which of these two I should get as my trusty camp axe when staying in the woods for a week or more at a time. And, for all around use for large amounts of firewood, but still be able to do some detail work, things my knife can't do.
Thanks again for all the help so far! You guys have really helped out, as usual. Oh, and anymore ideas or advice about the two, is still very much appreciated too!

now lets see those pics!:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

Dude! You're obsessing! We're starting to talk about an intervention.

I don't own the CT boys axe but I do own a similar old Collins boys axe.

I work at a local Dept. of Natural Resources - mostly in the woods. There are a dozen or more axes hanging on the shop wall that I could choose from. There are a dozen more hanging in my garage that I could choose from. But the one axe I keep in the truck is my boys axe. OK, I'll admit, I have a Pulaski too, but it's more for digging then axe work though I do keep it sharp.

We've told you over and over that the boys axe is a better worker and a better value. But I sense you're drawn to the sexier import and want us to tell you to buy it. I'll do that for you. Go buy the GB. Once you've caught the bug for something you'll never be happy until you get it. So get the GB now. The boys axe is cheap enough that you can add it later if you're not in total GB Nihrvana.

Bear Hunter....thanks a lot. Much appreciated...I'll be waiting.

Peg: Ummmm.....I said In-hand pics!!! No, seriously though, I admit I may have a problem..:eek:
But, i do have this camping trip, and the pressure is on to decide and order it and get it by, well, like Thursday? I thought I was obsessed with knives......now, I just don't know anymore.

Thanks for that advice...and the pic. I guess you can read my mind or something....I gotta get both i guess.....

But, a few shots of either the Scandinavian Forest, Boys Axe(28"), or the GB American Felling(31") would sure help me get a better idea of the size and heft of these.......THanks so much for helping me this far, this will probably confirm my decision, as I must order tonite or in the morning if i want it for my trip.

Any well known site with fast shipping and great customer service? I know Bens is great, but hes sold out of a few right now.
