Hey guys, Hope all is well with everyone this fine morning. I have a couple questions for you guys if you dont mind.
First off, Does anyone here make there own shave soap? I've made soap a couple times before, but what would I need for a basic recipe? Like what is a MUST? I have some 100% Lye, and I know you can use Olive Oil, so I may go with that, but maybe pick up some Shea butter and coconut oil to add to the mix. If I can find any... But I'm not really looking to make anything to fancy at the moment, like I said, I just need to know the bare essentials. Ill get fancy later when I get some cash and run to my local Hippie store for some Essential Oils. The reason I ask this is because, there is not one store around me that sells any shaving soap whatsoever.. Plus, I like to make my own, EVERYTHING! Everything..
Secondly and lastly, Have any of you ever made a Brush? I want to make one with some of the same stabilized wood I am going to use on a Straight. I plan on getting some Badger hair, and probably gonna get real fancy with this bad boy. Ill give it an inlay on the top of what ever other material I use on the razor handle, and give it a bunch of engraving with maybe some wire inlay. Should look real nice. But I was wondering, If any of you have made your own brush's, does anyone have any spare badger hair they'd be willing to give, or sell? I'm not sure if this is against the rules, but I haven't seen anything that says I cant ask if someone has something to sell. So if it is against the rules, I'm sorry. Go ahead and delete that section, or let me know and ill take care of it ASAP.
