If I am in the market to own three really top-of-the-range balisongs, which ones would those be?

Right now, I have two, down-in-the-dumps types. So I am trying my utmost to have and to hold three green-with-envy ones.

So any tips from you balisong masters?

As it stands right now, and eliminating Customs from PC/BM, I would say any combination of the BM45, 48 or 42. A 44 if you like Tanto blades.

I would prefer to have two of them identical. The older ones for the feel of steel...

(That rhymed, pretty good huh?)

And all of that might change in an instant when the Microtech BaliSong, the ones Chuck posted about [pictures] and the ones Chuck hinted about [no pictures] from yet another Manufacturer come out.

For the BaliSong fan, some folks might be right, 2001 might be "The Year of The BaliSong..."

I would love to see it make a comeback.

Any seconds?!!!

BTW, to answer the question "What He Said".
I have a couple 42's, and love them!
Good luck.

The Microtech Tachyon, when released, is looking pretty appealing.

Hmmm...one way to look at it would be....

1. EDC balisong choice would be the Dobruski with stag scales and bowie blade; classy enough to carry with a blade for all purposes, very sturdy.

2. Way to Big and In Your Face choice would be a Walter Erickson balisong; 6" tanto blade with scrimshaw scales, dragon on one side, lady on the other. Aluminum body so still relatively light! Handles quite well!

3. Sunday Go To Meetin' balisong, again an Erickson; 3" blade, latchless with pearl inlays. Yes, the pearl wraps around the bottom of the handle.

Always open to suggestions though!

Looking at the current prices that Zamak junkers from BM are going for, and then stepping up to the 40 Series BM discontinued...

One has a tendency to pray that the MT Bali pummels BM into submission.

Cheftget, you have some nice Balis!

That top one is a class act.
